Character and temperament
Australian Cattle Dogs are eager to learn and please. They like reassurance at all times. They are enthusiastic and courageous. They prefer being the only dog in the household.
Origin
Australia. They were originally crossbred from Collies and Dingos in the mid 17th century.
General description
Muscular and compact with a smooth undercoat and harsh overcoat. They are blue and red with black or tan moarkings.
Food
Australian Cattle Dogs grow quite rapidly between 9 and 12 months old, so they need adequate nutrition.
Exercise
2 hours a day. They are capable of great endurance.
Grooming
Australian Cattle Dogs moult moderately and could do with a brush once a week.
