Character and temperament

The English Terrier is an inquisitive breed, training should be consistent. Their hunting instinct is still strong, so supervision with young children and other animals is advised.

Origin

Originated in Great Britain and can be traced back to the 16th century when they were used for hunting rabbits and ratting.

General description

The English Terrier is black and tan with a smooth silky coat, pointed ears and a long tail.

Food

They have a good healthy appetite with no special requirements.

Exercise

20-40 minutes a day.

Grooming

Grooming requirements are small. Once a week is ample.
